Compared to other MRT lines in Singapore, the NEL and CCL offers the most number of shopping malls along its entire length, starting from Compass Point at Sengkang station, to Hougang Mall (Hougang station), to Heartland Mall (Kovan station), NEX Mall (Serangoon station), City Square Mall (Farrer Park station), to Plaza Singapura (Dobby Ghaut station), to Central Mall (Clarke Quay station) and finally to Vivocity (Harbour front station).
